Patrick Sourek, M.A., MBA
After studying political science with a focus on East Asia in Cologne, Bonn and Beijing, he studied philosophy, theology and education. After the 1st and 2nd state exams, he worked as a research assistant at the German Bundestag in Bonn from 1998 to 2000, focusing on development cooperation.
This was followed by positions in Learning & Development in industry at DASCOM and Hutchison Whampoa in Hong Kong and Ports Holding in Ningbo, China. There Patrick Sourek held lectures and seminars as lecturer for "Intercultural Management" at the Technical University in Ningbo. In Ningbo he was awarded the prestigious "Ningbo Camellia Award" for outstanding achievements in cultural education. For Hutchison he developed numerous training formats which are still used today. In 2004, his junior executive program was awarded the "Hong Kong Leadership Excellence Award" by the Chamber of Commerce.
As head of the Chinadesk and intercultural trainer, he was responsible for the Greater China division at Carl Duisberg Centren. There he advised and trained DAX 50 companies as well as SMEs and clients from politics and administration in the People's Republic of China. His main industries were automotive, heavy machinery, FMCG, retail and luxury.
For the international consulting firm Ward Howell International, he was responsible for the development of their own academy. As a bridgehead for German clients in China and Chinese clients in Germany, he has become a mediator between the two cultures. His personal attitude, the cooperation at eye level combined with more than 15 years of professional experience in industry, consulting and higher education make him a sought-after expert in German-Chinese cooperation. Dipl. Psych. Dr. Lin Xiaoying
After studying psychology and communication sciences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she continued her studies at the LMU Munich. After graduating with a degree in psychology, Dr. Lin completed her doctorate at the FU Berlin in the field of industrial and organizational psychology.
After her first professional stations in Hong Kong at Hutchison Whampoa, she was appointed head of organizational and personnel development at the Chinese HAIER Group. In this role, she was responsible for more than 600 employees throughout China. After further training in coaching and leadership, she was able to develop a company-wide organizational culture that is still unparalleled and often copied.
She is a well booked speaker and experienced consultant in all questions of organizational development of Chinese companies and the internationalization of Chinese hidden champions. In 2012 she was awarded the "HR Excellence Award 2012" by the Chinese trade journal "HR China". Her expertise is especially in demand in the areas of internationalization and Belt & Road projects.
For an international American consulting firm Dr.Lin managed the Hong Kong office for four years where she successfully developed a Part-Time MBA program.
Since 2019 she has been managing the Hong Kong office as a partner.
